and so it begins

The day finally came that the boys have been talking about ever since watching, 'The Sandlot', yes, it is baseball season.  For my boys, they live and thrive on outdoor activities, as do I.  So the Wintoniak Racing Baseball Team is gearing up and getting ready for a great season.  The only difference this year is we are playing real baseball as Winston put it.  Winston will be playing in the Rookies League this year instead of
T-ball.  There isn't too much of a difference from T-ball, except most of the kids actually understand the concept of the game and there is no T of course.
When baseball season comes around, that usually means windy days are also around.  Who would have predicted that our first day of practice would also be the day that the Columbia Basin was given a wind advisor of 50+ gusts of wind.  Thank goodness we canceled practice that day and reschedule for the following day.  It sould be a season full of interesting moments and a wonderful opportunity for my husband to spend quality time with his boys and teaching others.

Hans so desperately wants to be old enough to play on the team.  For now his dad has made him the manager.

  1. For us it is SOCCER!!! And with that, we get the 50 mph winds so I hear ya! Glad your boys are enjoying baseball. We don't start until mid-May when the HS is over. Both our boys are going to play this year so it should be interesting. I am sad soccer is almost over for Colin (Ty's season ended last Sat). We LOVE soccer! Wishing you a great season!
