Help ME!!!!

This past week Josh had an evening that was free so he thought it would be fun to take our boat out for a cruise on the lake.  We had a very enjoyable evening with a picnic on the water and lots of laughs with the kids.

But, that all changed when it came time to load the boat.  I am guilty, I have NO idea how to load a boat and would LOVE for someone to show me how to do it.  I can back a trailer up no problem, but after that.... I've got nothing.  If any of you know Josh or have worked with him, he's nearly impossible unless you can read his mind and always be 3 steps ahead of him.  I'm not going to share the whole story but let me just say, Josh started in the boat and then I ended in the boat.  What a mess and the wind didn't help matters AT ALL!!!
Finally, we got the boat out of the water and once we were on our way home, Winston in the back seat said, "Well, I'm glad that's over".  I can only imagine what he shared the following day with his teacher.

On the plus side, Josh and I didn't throw anything at each other nor call each other names so I guess it wasn't that bad.  At least that's what Josh had to say about the whole event.  Boy am I looking forward to our next outing.  FYI.... if anyone wants to meet us at the dock I will pay you to load the boat for me!!

Beautiful Evenings

A couple nights ago as I sat on our back porch thinking, I couldn't help but notice what a beautiful evening it was.  I am so ready and looking forward to a warm summer.  Hopefully it comes soon!!!

Boys and Dirt

Last week we made a stop by some friends house after the boys baseball game.  As Josh and I sat and visited with them we looked out at all the laughs and saw pure happiness in all their faces.  A whole field of dirt, what more could a kid ask for.

It has been brought to my attention, that I am the mom on the side line encouraging my boys to get as dirty as they can during their baseball games.  Yes, I am that mom telling my boys that they better be sliding becuase sliding is a must in baseball!!  So, when I saw how much fun they were having I took the opportunity to help them get better at their slides.  Oh boy did they LOVE that.

As for Alyee, she was completely in her own world doing her own thing.

It's always the good ones

It was a sad morning around here yesterday as we had to say good-bye to Jugs.  Never again do I want to watch my husband sit down and have to tell our children how sorry he is and that although it was an accident, it was daddy's fault.  It broke my heart for Josh as well as the boys but they were so strong and made sure that their dad was ok and that they still loved him.  Parenting... it's not always fun or easy.

Baseball

It has been a very fun season watching the boys play baseball.  Both are doing so well as is the team.  It is so rewarding to watch Josh coach these little guys and encourage them to do their best.  As for our boys, I have to say they are continuing to improve and surprise both their dad and myself with their growing skills.

Victory!!!

Well it finally happened and boy did it keep us all on the edge of our seats.  Josh has began his race season and he managed to start the season with a much deserved win.  Yep, he finally got the first win in his Late Model and oh how sweet was it.  These boys however didn't take their hands off that trophy all night!!  They were very proud of their dad and uncle.

meet "JUGS"

A week ago I did  something really crazy... I decided we needed to have a puppy.
As if there isn't enough craziness in our lives already.
So, meet Jugs.

Easter

This Easter was very low key and enjoyable.  The kids had a ton of fun hunting for their 15 dozen eggs which didn't take them half as long to find as it did to hide them.  It was pretty nice weather which was an added bonus.

We ended Easter 2011 with some rocket launching!!!  It was a ton of fun and the big boys had a GREAT time launching and the little boys had fun chasing and finding them.

Let's just say I wish I had video taped Josh rocket.  I should have known when he said he made some of his own adjustments to his rocket.

Shining

Last month Winston received a huge honor and award for his school and the 1st grade.  He was named Student of the Month and was honored for his honesty.  I couldn't be prouder of him.  Winston also has earned a junior joggers shirt.  He has ran 90 miles total in the school year and is trying very hard to make the 100 mile mark which would earn him his name on the back of his shirt.  Also, he has met his goal of 50 AR points which gets him a shirt and he will get to attend the Picnic in the Park at the end of the year.
Winston grows and learns more each new day and I love watching him grow more and more.  We love you Winston and we are so proud of you.
