Race Season 2011

This past Saturday Josh finished up another year of racing in Spokane.  Although he didn't get to finish the race due to mechanical problems, he still had a very successful evening and year.  He found himself in the winners circle 3 times and got interviewed live on radio.  What a great year it was for him and the kids.

With daddy winning trophies meant that the kids got to take care of them for him.

I finally let the boys ride a bus full of kids around the track.
(look close and you can see Winston under the "S" at the end of valley's)

Got to enjoy lots of really good fireworks throughout the year.

Racing also ALWAYS involves a few late nights.

Great job this year daddy.  We love you lots and can't wait to watch you again next season.

Go-Carting Fun

The boys had been asking dad all summer to race their go-carts and the day finally came.  After watching for only about 5 minutes I remembered why I never watch them race.  They scare the living daylights out of me.  And it only gets worse when dad decides he too needs to race the boys on his go-cart.  Sometimes I think he forgets just how little they all are, but he swears it will only make them better drives when they get bigger.

Hans is already too much like his dad and loves living on the edge of everything.  He was so proud of himself after this little event.  His words to me were, "Mom, did you see how well I drove out of that mess"?  Seriously, the kid is 5.

Who's up for slip-n-sliding?

Labor day was celebrated with slip ~ in ~ sliding.  While Ashley and I watched our daughters enjoy the refreshing water we had a thought...

We could too!!
Oh my gosh what fun we had, even if we weren't dressed for slip-n-sliding we still had a blast.

Dutch oven campout

Somehow the Dutch Oven campout has become somewhat of a annual thing for the Roberts family.  This year however it was complete with Uncle B, Aunt Tamar and Devyn.  Each year we have told ourselves we are going to get more organized about it, but I have come to realize that being organized just isn't in the Roberts blood.  Mad ciaos is all we know and this year was no different.

The kids stayed busy

Tents were put up

Although it's always ciaos, our food always seems to turn out AMAZING!!

And the meal is always enjoyed as a family together.  I am already looking forward to next years campout.
It's a great way to end a summer.

That leaves 1

With the boys are in school all day, that just leaves Alyee at home.  At times I see her loving it and in those other times she just can't stand not having her brothers around.  At least she has her bike and her purse dog, "Pockets".  What more could a girl as for.

He's a Kindergartener

Sure is amazing how fast time goes by.  Seems like not so long ago Hans was only 2 and learning to talk.  But today he went off to his first day of Kindergarten and boy was he excited.

Winston was pretty excited to have his brother going to school with him today.

I think Alyee thought she was even going to school.  Notice the backpack she has on.

Another year begins

Off to 2nd Grade he goes!!  How fast the times as gone by.

It's all about the shoes for Winston.  He's good with some jeans and a T-shirt, but he's got to have AWESOME shoes.  He's hoping these shoes earn him another shirt for Jr. Joggers this year.

Her Trademark

You can always tell when Alyee has been with Grandma by the hair!!  I absoluely love how Grandma has formed her trademark with the hair style.  What's even more impressive, is that she can actually get that due to stay in for a LONG time.

I'm sorry, but seriously how cute is she.

Gram even had Aunt Susie make special hair scrunchies.

Sand Kids

As a family we have been enjoying our Sunday's on the lake playing in the sand.  On this Sunday the kids discovered what I said was a terrible plan, but they just knew it would work.

Ya, doesn't that look like a great idea?

Finished result however was pretty cool

In the end, no harm was done and it was a GREAT Sunday!
