That's a Problem

It was a great day for Baseball

I love watching my boys play and have fun together, but for some reason fun always ends with someone crying or in this case, something broken around here.  The boys where so cute about it, they looked at me and then dad and said, "you are in so much trouble daddy".  I couldn't help but laugh and say, "well I guess you better go cut some wood and cover it up before poker tonight".
We have always tried to teach our kids to not sweat the small stuff, Josh does a much better job at it than I do, but I am getting better.  It was just a window, it's not like someone broke their leg or slug the other, it was a miner but fixable problem.

Help needed

With Spring comes lots of yard work around here.  The kids are always so excited to help me clean the yard up or maybe they just like the ride they get to tool around on.

Don't they look like the best workers ever?  I sure miss Winston's help, but he's the big kindergartener now.  Spring Break isn't that far away.

Bandon

To celebrate Josh's Dad turning 60, the whole family made the 9 hour drive to Bandon Oregon. It is the most beautiful place on the Oregon coast, if you ask any of us and somewhere we recommend everyone go at least once.
There were so many wonderful moments to share that you will just have to bare with me as I walk you through our amazing vacation and great memories.
First on the list, what is one to do when the backpack to carry the child is forgotten?
You make one!! Can you say hillbillies.

It worked great until she fell asleep. Some that walked past us may have felt as though we should be turned in for child abuse. When I finally caught up to Josh, he didn't even have a clue she looked like this. He was so into flying kites with the boys that he figured she was just taking the scenery in. Poor Alyee, she really doesn't stand a chance.

The boys were so excited to have cousin Hayden at the ocean with them this time. The 3 of them kept busy and didn't slow down for a second. A couple of times Ashley and I looked at each other and thought, mm I wonder who will go to the emergency room first.

While at Bandon this time, the coast was having some of the highest waves and high tides we had seen so we all headed to Shore Acres to get a good look at them. They were very impressive. Shore Acres is another family favorite spot. It's known for it's gardens and in the winter it's spectacular lights display.

Downtown Bandon, a place where you can find some of the best fish-n-chips, the tastiest ice cream and a wonderful dock with tons of seagulls just waiting for leftovers. These are 3 of the boys favorite things to do, as well as their Grandpa's.

The Roberts Family. We had a wonderful time.

Last but not least, the birthday that brought us all together. Sunday, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on the beach. Grandpa and the boys made a fort, they seem to be survivor fans, because they kept saying how they were on the show survivor. Oh how their little minds work.

And this is the whole group. A great ending to a great trip. A fire on the beach with hot dogs, good laughs and 60 candles blown out. Hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as we enjoyed celebrating it with you Big Lyndsy. We had an amazing time with all of you and are looking forward to the next family vacation.

Back to Work

Wow, we made it through Josh having his tonsils removed and Alyee having Roseola. So now that everyone is somewhat healthy around here it was time to get back to work. The boys helped Josh glue and layout pipe for a circle we are adding to a corner of a field. Alyee and I had the job of driving the truck and trailer ( I must say we had the warmer job). It was a fun day and it was enjoyable for me to watch my boys work together. Sure is amazing how big they are getting.

All smiles as we get started, let's see if everyone can still have their smiles when we are done.

She talked to the boys as if she was the boss from the pickup, it was really cute.

Wow, done and everyone is still smiling. Put it down in the books cause it's a first.
