Bandon... Day 3

Day 3 at the ocean was spent doing all the last minute visits to the candy store, and shops downtown.  Also a visit to the Jetty and Lighthouse.

A walk out to the end of the Jetty..... A beautiful and WINDY day!

Winston and his dad working on some baseball batting practice.  Who wouldn't love hitting rocks into the ocean?

Best of buds!

Love that these 2 walked the beach in their own world.

This pretty much sums up all there personalities.

Chief and all his Indians

We had a GREAT time while at the ocean.  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the good memories!

Winston look on his face when we told him we were moving to the ocean for GOOD!.....
WE CAN WISH!!
However, you can never leave the ocean without a plan of returning, which we plan to very soon!

Ocean Birthday.... Day 2

Day 2 at the Bandon was all about Big Lyndsy and his birthday.  It was a morning filled with lots of fun and an afternoon of roasted hot dogs.  Once the campfire was started it was to work on building a Dam.  Something even the big boys got into.

Even Alyee helped out with some of the shoveling work

Hans enjoying some fun of his own

Finally it was time for the all time favorite.... Hot Dog Roast.  Something that is just a must while at the ocean.

Alyee treasure hunting

A rare moment.... A pic of just us

To end our afternoon on Whiskey Run  Beach Winston and Josh built a fort.

To end the birthday evening we all enjoyed another wonderful sunset together before dinner.  Thanks grandpa for letting us celebrate your birthday with you.  It was a day full of laughs and memories.

Bandon 2013.... Day 1

It only took us 3 years but we finally made it back to Bandon, Oregon.  Bandon goes way back in Josh's childhood and we hope that our kids grow up loving it as much as he did and still does.

Winston welcoming us to the Oregon Coast.

Didn't take Josh long at all once getting on the beach to find the first shell... The Roberts family is a little competitive when it comes to finding treasurers at the beach.

Alyee and cousin Payton enjoying some Ocean sand

And for the boys.... well if the 3 of them aren't always side by side then life just isn't right.  They are each others shadows and it is wonderful to watch their friendship and love for each other grow.

One thing about Bandon is it has LOTS of great rocks to climb.

Alyee's first rock she has climbed on her own at the ocean.

Hans however took the gold star for the day on rock climbing.  He was high enough to freak me out.

More than anything the Sunset are incredible.  Something you just can't get enough of.

Worth Celebrating!

Each year Grant School does an AR challenge (accelerated reading) for each grade level.  This year is Hans first year of being a part of the program and today he met his goal..... 50 AR points which are needed by the end of the year to be apart of the picnic in the park reward.  He's a reading machine according to his teacher.  Good work slim, we love you and are so proud of you and all your hard work.
That was something worth celebrating!!

Next up Winston...

Winston has been working very hard on his spelling and it has paid off.  His teacher recognized him and all his hard work that he has done in improving his spelling.  Also in his test scores.  He to is climbing the AR ladder but as a  3rd grader 100 Pt's are needed so there is still some work to be done there.  Good work Ace!!!  Hard work does pay off and I'm so glad you also give your best at everything you do.

That too was something worth celebrating.  Keep up the good work.
