Skyfest 2010

Sunday was an eventful day full of good time spent with friends and family.  We loaded up and headed to the Army Base in Spokane for a spectacular airshow with many different types of planes including
The Thunderbirds.

There was a special fly by of the Stealth Bomber. It was incredible how quiet and thin it was. They also showed us how they deliver fuel to a plane on the go. It was a show full of information and lots of fun things.

We even got to see a car with a jet plane engine in it race down the airstrip.  It was FAST!!!!

Before the Thunderbirds, we watched an assortment of fighter planes fly around and by us.  The kids thought it was pretty neat.

At 3, it was finally Thunderbird time.  So absolutely impressive and AMAZING how these planes are flown so in sink with one another.

Thanks Brent and Deidra for the GREAT time.  It's always an adventure and we can't wait to see what the next one is.

NEW BOAT!!

Yes that's right, the Roberts' family has a new boat on the lake.
Ok, so maybe it's not my dream boat, which is in Richland and will take me winning the lottery, but it's a boat.  Last weekend the family boat died.  We are hoping to have it fixed before the summer is over but for now look for the Roberts' in their NEW BOAT!!

The boys and dad had some fun before having to head back to the farm and check water.

Alyee enjoyed the sand and shade

To my surprise, Winston has taught himself how to do a flip off the dock.  Now if that's not enough for a mom to have a heart attack you tell me what is.

Grandma Sally always has something tasty for the kids to enjoy for the ride home.

F-I-V-E

Last Friday was spent celebrating Cousin Hayden turning 5!!!  What a birthday party Uncle Lyndsy and Aunt Ashley put on for Hayden and all his cousins.  A great combination of Water gun fights, soccer, Monster Busters finding the stolen treasure, GREAT food, cake and lots of family and friends to share it all with.

Hayden and a few of his cousins!

It's Freeman time

For as long as I can remember, the Freeman's have had a family reunion every year.  It is so neat to have time to spend together camping, laughing and sharing good old times.  This year's reunion was held at the Mardon Campground.  It was a much different reunion seeing how it was the first one that didn't have my dear sweet Grandma's shining smile.  It's times like these that make me miss her the most as I'm sure the rest of the family would say the same.

Water and food where the two key ingredients for this years family reunion.

Slip-in-Sliding

Cousin Haidyen getting a quick drink.

Poor Trent, he decided to get Travis wet with a water balloon, I'm sure next time he will pick someone smaller than him.

I think we had somewhere around 60 people attend this year.

Part 2 of 4th of July

Our July 4th weekend was a ton of fun.  There was a lot of family, laughs and good times made by all.  Josh and I began our celebration at home with some fireworks with the kids.  My kids, including my big kid, LOVE fireworks.

Poor Alyee, she just looks like a firework and the dog is just stupid

Our camp out weekend began Friday and consisted of ALOT of EATING!

A little drinking
(please don't turn me in, it was COMPLETELY empty)

LOTS and LOTS of kids

Some fishing

Winston finally caught his first fish thanks to Nathan.  He was pretty excited and we even cooked it up and ate it.  It was pretty good believe it or not.

Some games

Just a few fireworks
(ya right, if any of you know the this family then you will know we had more than enough firework)

The winning event for the weekend was catching Crayfish.  Sunday morning between 2 pots we caught 12 crayfish, so the kids all picked one and then we raced them.  They really don't move all that fast but the kids thought it was the best thing ever.

They are UGLY

All in all, it was a GREAT weekend for everyone.

July 4th - Part 1

About 4 years ago, the Roberts Family had an evening of Dutch Oven Cooking which was a huge learning experience.  I'm not sure if we had anything turn out that year but we learned a lot from it.  Since then, we have done 1 night of cooking every year and I must say we get better and better.  This year Lyndsy and Ashley where in charge of picking out the menu and assigning recipes to everyone.  Josh and I received Dessert and between Lyndsy, Ashley and the parents they made up the main meal.  It was our best meal yet and  I can't wait till next year.

She is going to kill me

Most people celebrate our country's birthday every 4th of July, but for our family it has also been when we celebrate my mom's birthday.  This past Thursday Josh and I took dad and mom out for dinner and then returned back to the house to have cake and sing happy birthday to Grandma.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!
(she is going to kill me, but seriously, how cute is that)!

It's the thought that counts

Yesterday I attempted to take some family pictures for some good friends, The Webers.  By NO means am I a pro at this and that was obvious, but we had a lot of fun.

~ The Weber's ~

These 2 are either each other's best friends or worst enemies, but they are still SUPER cute

So the real fun began after pictures were over.  We joined the Weber's back and their home and had some fun setting off a few fireworks.  The kids loved them.

What a crew
