Reliving the Glory Days

Awhile back Josh and a group of past alumni baseball players from Ephrata High School all got together and played a game in celebration of the 100th class reunion of Ephrata High School.  It was evens vs odds and Josh did an awesome job of representing for the 1997 class.  The oldest player there playing was from the class of 1977!!!  How cool is that!!!!

What fun it was to watch these past players relive their glory days and talk about all the memories at the "Johnson O'Brien Stadium".  The added bonus was seeing the smiles on Winston and Hans faces as they got to watch their Dad play the game he loves most.

As I sat and watched the game I found it so neat to see all the parents and families of the players, children of the players and people from the community there watching these grown men once again play the game they all enjoy so much.  It was an awesome way to spend a Saturday afternoon and I can't wait to do it again.

Josh found himself in a "pickle" and he almost got himself out of it.....

but buddy Gabe managed to help out the 3rd baseman and get the tag.  Pretty sure Josh was out of breath afterwards.

It's a known fact that no player left the field until after their "foul lines" were ran and the field was cleaned up and ready for the next day.  It was so awesome for the younger generations to see that Ephrata Tigers run "foul lines" proud and that its somewhat of a tradition.

Josh had so much fun on this day that he has recently signed himself up to play some recreational baseball in Ephrata.  Look for more photos this fall.

First Alumni Game EVER!!!
It was a great turn out.  Can't wait to see who all comes next year.
