Muttin Bustin'

Last year Alyee swore she wasn't going to ride the sheep again, but it's amazing what a few months will do.  She changed her mind and signed up for another year of Muttin Bust.  I can honestly say watching kids ride sheep is hilarious!!

Alyee and her cousin waiting for their turn

Alyee kind of forgot to hang onto her sheep this year but there is always next year.

And by the looks of that smile I'm going to guess she will be back again!

Corn Harvest 2014

Alyee has become quite the little farm girl.  She loves being with her dad and being apart of the everyday farm world.  She was a very big helper during corn harvest this year.

#43 Makes it another year

It was once again time for another Grant County Demo to put in the books and just like so many other years #43 left as a big winner.  Josh and the kids LOVE the Demo.  Each year Hans and Alyee ask everyday of summer if it's time to get the demo car out year.  And when it finally comes out it's all they can do from not sitting in it all day.

Everyone washes a demo car with a  Tiara on their head.

Texas Bat Boys

Winston and Hans were asked to be bat boys during the 16-18 year old World Series this summer along with cousin Hayden.  What an awesome experience it was for them.  They got to be bat boys for a Texas team and although they didn't place the boys had such a fun time being apart of their team.  The Texas team did a great job of making them feel like they truly were apart of their team.

Hans did his best at staying cool and drinking lots since it was right after his tonsils were removed.

They LOVED every minute of it!

Bye-Bye Tonsils

It was recommended that Hans have his tonsils removed so it happened!!  With his asthma and allergies the Doctor said it would be very beneficial to him.  Having tonsils removed is a pretty regular procedure but as a mom it is still super scary to have your kids be put under.  I was one happy mom when it was over and behind us.  Doctor was very glad we had tonsils and adnoids removed, they were quite large and blocking about 80% of his airway.

He waited very patiently for his turn

Even took a little nap after they gave him some drugs to help relax him

Then he got super goofy and away he went.

He woke up not feeling so well and very scared.  Broke my heart for him.

But he came around and things got better

and HOME we could go

Summer Visiters!

Every summer my Grandpa and Grandma Jones come for a visit from Missouri.  It's always nice to see them and visit and show them a little of what our lives look like on a day to day bases.

40 Years of Awesomeness

Mid July I loaded the kids up and we headed west to Whidbey Island to celebrate 40 years of Freeman Family Reunions.  Josh was unable to go with us since it's farming season and things were busy on the farm.  We had 3 wonderful days spent at Camp Casey.  I still remember being the age of Winston and spending a Freeman Reunion there and having a blast!  So there was no question that the kids needed to go and see for themselves.

 Hello Camp Casey!!

                                                 Admiralty Head Lighthouse

The kids had a blast running through the Forts and exploring.  Alyee was even ready for Blast-Off.

Grandpa and the boys were impossible to keep up with.  They had WAY too much fun.

"The Switchboard"  It was a huge bummer it was locked up.  I really wanted to take the kids through it.  It's super scary inside do to the tight and narrow paths.  Still remember my uncles scaring the pants off me at their age.

These are the bunkers I stayed in when I came to Camp Casey in the 6th grade.

Across from the Bunkers is where all the main houses are and the office.

We explored the beach

The boys found their own entertainment.  We didn't see the boys a whole lot of the time.  They kept themselves pretty busy riding their bikes and just exploring on their own.  So glad they got to hang out with all their cousins.  Makes my heart smile.

We had wonderful weather the whole time and the sun peaked out just a little our last evening.

This guy was hanging out our last morning there.  Bald Eagles are simply amazing and beautiful.

The camp motto, something we should all live by.

Our home for the 3 days we were there for.  Thanks Dad and Mom for a great mini vacation.  It was a blast!!!

Summer Camps

In July the boys signed up for a basketball camp and a baseball camp.  Both camps were awesome and the boys learned a ton and had fun being with friends.

Hans yet again cleaned house at basketball camp this year.  He was pretty pumped about it!

Once basketball camp was over, it was onto Tbi camp......"Total Baseball Instruction".

The boys were in age groups and the object was to see how dirty they could get over the 3 days of camp.  Shirts were NOT allowed to be washed.  I'd say they both did a pretty good job and getting dirty.

Winton however was selected as a Tbi all star!  Only 2 kids from each team were selected so he had every right to be super proud and excited about earning that shirt!

Kids are already looking forward to camp next summer.
