Summer has began and the kids are having so much fun. It is truly is a blessing to have cousins so close because they can't spend a day away from each other. The other day while they were at Hayden and Payton's they all worked together to build a volcano. Kids just haven't lived until they roll in mud.

Fun Run 2011
Due to Winston's success this year in Junior Joggers, he was asked to run in the annual Fun Run in Ephrata. So A few Saturdays ago Josh and the boys ran a 2 miles run together. Well actually, Han and dad ran together, Winston ran solo because he got tired of waiting on Hans. I must say, I was extremely proud of my boys for their hard work.
In the end, Hans was the one who walked away with a medal. He came in 3rd place out of in the 5 year old group.

Extra Help
With summer break here for the kids, that means Josh has extra helpers. Yep we make our kids WORK!! There are weeds to be pulled, nails to be hammered and water to change. Working on the farm is an excellent way for Josh to spend time with his kids as well as let them understand the meaning of working for what we have.
They looked like true little farmers
Did I mention team work and Patience.

Look who's 32!!!
Turning 32 couldn't have been spent in any better of a way for Josh. Saturday, his actually birthday, he raced both his Modified and Late Model in Wenatchee. He did amazing in the late model and gave the crowd a real nail bitter of a race. For the evening he got fast time and finished with a very respectful 3rd. The modified was a little bit of a different story and well lets just say we got our butts kicked and won't be racing it again unless we find a money tree and can spruce up the motor.
Sunday was spent at the Lake with lots of kids, friends and family. It truly was a very enjoyable day filled with lots of laughs, GREAT food and 10 kids!! Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the day with us.
Almost Done
Winston has had an amazing year as a 1st grader. He met all his goals for the year and I couldn't be prouder of him. This past week he was recognized for his great success at Jr. Joggers. He was 1 out of 2 kids in the school to reach quadruple miles for the year. He has a shirt to prove it as well.
The school also sets goals for each grade level with AR points. 1st graders needed to earn 50 AR points to earn a shirt and get invited to the picnic in the park. Winston reached his goal and should have no problem with making the 2nd grade goal of 75 points next year. So sorry but there are no pictures of him at his picnic in the park, dad went with him and well lets just say Josh doesn't exactly do real well at remembering to get pictures. Oh well, he had a ton of fun with all the other kids that made their goals as well.
He was also honored for his super speedy math skills by his Teacher. I can't believe how much he has grown as a student and as a Roberts boy over this past school year. He has a big and very bright future ahead of him.
We love you very much Winston and are so very proud of you.
