Busy Sunday

This past Sunday Josh got right to work.  For the past year he has been wanting me to mow the inside of the 4-wheeler/go-cart track, and for the past year I have been saying my mower isn't for mowing weeds.  So of course he decided to solve that problem for me by planting it to grass, (as if I don't already have enough grass to mow).

All I can say is, "Good thing I enjoy mowing grass so much".

Don't you just love how Winston dressed his sister for me after she woke-up from her nap.  He really is a BIG helper!

It was a wonderful day being able to enjoy each of my kids and not really having anything that had to be done.  They are getting so big and grown up.

run for cover

There has been some of the craziest weather around here in the basin for the past 2 days.  As I was sitting on my mower and trying to get as much grass as I could mowed, I watched it come.  Just as I got into the house down it came, and I mean DOWN it came.

Hail, like I have never seen or at least remember seeing.

Seriously, it was flat coming down

It was pretty impressive

As I waited and watched for a rainbow, I found this small pocket of blue sky.  It is simply amazing how fast weather can come and go.

Almost 20 years later

After almost 20 years of schooling, my dear sister has finally finished her goal and life time dream of becoming a Veterinary.  For Mother's Day, we watched and waited and finally all the time, commentment, and dedication had paid off for Brynne.  As the Dean of Veterinary handed each classmate their certification and was announced as a Dr., I heard the words I have been waiting to hear for 8 years, as I'm sure my parents and Brynne also had been waiting to hear, Dr. Brynne Lyle.  What an accomplishment,  I truly admire her.  There is no way I could have done that many years of college and done as well at it as she did.  I am so very proud of you sis and I love you.

Could my parents look any more happier and proud.  I really don't think my mom could have gotten a better Mother's Day gift, her baby being ALL DONE with COLLEGE!

I wish you both the very best in life.
Now go figure out what your going to do with all that knowledge in your brains.
We love you both so much.

~ Bittersweet ~

This past week my dear grandma passed away.  I feel so thankful to have had such a wonderful grandma through all the years.  She is already dearly missed by all of us but I am so thankful that she is rejoicing now.  Grandma was an amazing woman, she made each and everyone of us grand kids feel so special in our own ways.  I am going to miss her and missing being able to talk with her and share all the new and exciting things that I am learning as a mother and as a wife.  I loved listening to her tell us stories about raising 6 boys and having grandpa to keep in line also.  I looked up to her and admired everything about her.  My cousin Lindsay does the most amazing job of describing her, Rejoicing, please read it, it is inspiring.

With loss, brings laughter and good memories.  Throughout the weekend we spent time talking about the good times and enjoying some much needed family time.  What a crazy family Grandma helped create.  It was truly a wonderful weekend and so much fun to watch all the kids play like all us old cousins use too.  Funny how fast time goes by.

The boys have convinced Grandpa that Grandma had to go first for 1 important reason.  She needs the head start if she is going to convince the good Lord to let Grandpa in the gates of Heaven.
He always said he was the black sheep.

There was a lot of playing

Travis put the small kids to work by letting them crank the homemade ice cream.  Grandma's favorite treat.

These 2 reminded Cousin Christine and I so much of ourselves growing up.  Sharing is such a hard thing to learn.

Look at the funny people...  oh ya their family.

Hans thought it was so cool how he found a chair in a tree.

It's not a complete trip to Grandpa and Grandma's without walking through the barn and seeing the baby calves.
