Winston has been enjoying every minute of his Spring Break so far. The other morning when he woke up, he said "mom, you know what the best part about being on break is? Being able to play and play and play with Hans and Hayden (cousin)". Josh and I are truly grateful to have cousin Hayden and the rest of the family right across the field from us. The boys are each others best friends and I can't wait to watch them all grow together and of course cause trouble together. I am hoping that the girls will keep them in line somewhat.

Back in Orange
This past weekend my dad took some time out of his busy schedule to paint Josh's race car for him. He did an amazing job and yes finally it is the way it should be, all ORANGE!! While the guys finished up some last minute taping the kids had some fun in the shop before we were kicked out. I am so excited to see the car on the track again now that it looks like the Josh Roberts race car we are all so familiar with.
Thanks Dad, we appreciate all the time and the good job you did. You are a man of many useful talents.
The kids having some fun and trying to stay out of trouble.
The first strip of orange put on the car.
"Grandpa, it looks GREAT"!!
Dad's little helper
April is just about here and that means there is lots to be done. Josh is getting fields ready for planting and that makes Hans excited because that means rides on the tractor. Hans is a farm boy through and through, he is up early everyday with cowboy boots on and ready to work with dad.
and away they go
Something to Celebrate
On Friday, Winston & his classmates shared a few songs with parents and the rest of the school. For the last day of school before Spring Break, Grant Elementary spent most of the day celebrating reading. Over the past several weeks, Winston along with the rest of the student body have been reading to gain 10 hours of reading in order to earn a free Silverwood ticket. Winston did an amazing job and also did a great job of making sure we read everyday and logging his minutes. In the end, he had a grand total of 675 minutes that we logged in just 6 weeks. Josh & I have been very proud of Winston in how well he his doing at his reading. We will be looking forward to taking the family to Silverwood this summer and rewarding Winston for all his hard work and dedication.

Sweetness
About a week ago our good friends Jake and Erryn stopped by for a little visit. It was so great to see them both as well as their darling little girl Jaida. Jaida is about a month older than Alyee and Erryn and I have always wished that our girls could be closer to one another so they could be pals. It truly was wonderful to watch them play and enjoy each others company.
We sure enjoyed seeing all 3 of you.
So sweet
Aren't they so sweet?

Go Ephrata Tigers
This past weekend the Ephrata Tigers basketball team competed in the State Tournament. So Friday night we decided to take the kids down to Yakima and help cheer them on in hopes of a win to earn them a spot in the championship game. Although they did not win that game, they did go onto winning their finally game and giving them 3rd place in State.
Josh and I feel that it is very important to teach our children the importance of showing school spirit. It is so sad to see so many kids not attending school functions and know the importance of by wearing school colors you are showing school spirit and supporting their school. I only hope that by me showing my children they will encourage their friends to do the same.
Besides, I have to admit our little girl looked pretty cute at the game.

T.G.I Friday
Friday nights are pretty fun around here in the Roberts' household. It's the night the boys get to make dinner and of course it's always homemade pizza with a movie to follow and popcorn! I am really hoping that by me showing them that cooking can be fun their future wives will thank me someday. "I can dream can't I"?

A beautiful Sunday
With nice weather come lots of work but it also allows the boys to enjoy some good 4-wheeler racing. For some reason the boys just can't get enough of it....(I wonder why that is)? I am little worried about how much Alyee enjoys watching her brothers race and her ability to cheer them on. I have a feeling she is going to give them a run for their money when she gets older.
After racing, Winston was trying to show Alyee how to run or at least walk a little faster. As you can see it didn't go so well. He is an amazing big brother and as you can see showed her lots of love after she fell.
